In firearms training, the target's shape is typically a rectangle, primarily because the standard silhouette targets used in most scenarios follow a rectangular format. This shape allows for a more realistic representation of a human figure or a clear outline that shooters can aim at effectively. Other shapes, such as circles, triangles, or squares, may not provide the same level of engagement or realism.
